Deep below, in a cavern 500 meters beneath the ice, Elena Voss, 38, adjusted her flashlight, its beam slicing through the gloom. Her blonde hair was tucked under a thermal hood, her blue eyes sharp behind fogged goggles. A Norwegian geologist with a passion for Earth’s hidden truths, Elena thrived in the cold, chasing secrets locked in stone and ice.

Today, her team drilled into an anomaly—a void untouched for millennia. The ice parted, revealing a chamber of jagged walls and frozen air.
